In our last newsletter, we talked about HR Trends forecasted for 2023. An increased focus on employee wellness is one of the top trends we noted. According to a recent study by Willis Tower Watson (WTW), nearly two-thirds of employers surveyed planned to make investments in the expansion of mental health and emotional well-being programs. The top tactics employers are pursuing include offering telebehavioral health services (83%), onsite or virtual employee assistance programs (69%), and access to digital behavioral health support (68%). In another study by Monster, it was revealed that 91% of Gen Z candidates say it's important for them to be comfortable discussing mental wellness at work. Leaders and managers in today's environment will need to be better equipped in creating supportive work environments that foster mental well-being. HR will be tasked with how to train and educate front-line managers and leaders to do just that!
