Trend 2: Evolution of a Hybrid and Flexible Workplace
If there was any silver lining from navigating a global pandemic, many employees would say it's how greater workplace flexibility became more commonplace. In an Executive Networks Global Research study, The 2023 Future of Working and Learning Report, when asked over 1000 employees what's most important to them in terms of flexible work, having flexibility in when work gets done is more important than where work happens. Furthermore, research conducted by McKinsey found three out of four employees—whether in-person, hybrid or remote—reported that having control overwhenthey work was a key factor impacting their decision to accept their current job. To compete, employers must realize that a robust hybrid work strategy is paramount in fostering productivity and attracting and retaining new talent. The When, Where, and How work gets done is continuing to evolve. Check out some interesting takes on this subject below in our Leveling Up section of this newsletter.
